Natural disasters can cause loss of lives, economic, business, and properties, affecting people’s means to live. “Basic Planet defines a natural disaster as any catastrophic event that is caused by nature or the natural processes of the earth. In some areas, the residents are somewhat prepared for the eventuality of disasters. However, loss of property is still a problem.” even if we say we are prepared for what’s coming, we still do not know what the future may surprise us with. Movies remind us that natural disasters are possible and can happen to anyone, anytime and anywhere.
Some notable epic disaster movies include:

Malayan Insurance is never short of reminding its partners and clients to always be prepared in the event of a natural disaster. To keep the message fresh, we treated over 150 agents and business partners on a private screening of the latest international disaster movie, ‘Geostorm’, at Greenbelt 3 Ayala Center last October 19, 2017.
The movie highlights a system of satellites that are designed to control climate on a global scale. It is governed by the system’s chief architect Jake Lawson, played by Gerard Butler. He and his brother Max investigates the Afghanistan incident and other series of extreme weather events happening in other countries. As they try to solve the system failure, they discovered that the Secretary of State, Leonard Dekkom, was the one who cause all the disasters. He wanted to wipe out all of America’s enemies by destroying particular satellites to create a chain reaction of extreme weather patterns known as “Geostorm“.
