Travel Tour Expo by Philippine Travel Agencies Association
Coldplay wasn’t the only one that brought people in drones to the MOA Complex. SMX Convention Center was flocked by travel enthusiasts and tourism businesses last February 10-12. Hoping to get the best flight discounts and hotel deals, it was one of the most successful events of PTAA. Malayan Insurance joined the fun with an open airline-inspired booth for Travel Master. Nowadays, with extreme flight delays and increase in cases of baggage loss, travel has become both a delight and a hassle. So right after purchasing tickets from Cebu Pacific, clients went straight to the Malayan Insurance booth to get their travel insurance instantly.
Fine Arts Insurance
Malayan Insurance teamed up with top global reinsurance broker JLT Re to discuss the growing importance of Fine Arts Insurance. The event at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel kicked off with opening remarks from Ms. Trickie Lopa, co-founder of Art Fair Philippines, and was attended by dozens of key figures in the Philippine art scene, such as collectors, and gallerists, as well as insurance agents and brokers. Mr. Ricky Miller, JLT Re’s Director of Marine and Aviation – Asia Pacific, delivered an in-depth presentation dubbed “The Art of Insuring Fine Art.” Miller discussed the crucial differences between standard property policies and specialized insurance policies that protect fine art. The latter features better benefits such as automatic inclusion of new acquisitions, cover for depreciation and restoration costs, and multiple transit cover, and can be tailored to the insured’s needs. Fire Prevention Seminar
Malayan Insurance, in partnership with the Bel-Air Village Association and Barangay Bel-Air Brgy. Bel Air, held a Fire Prevention Seminar at the Bel-Air Park 3 Basketball Court, Makati City. The seminar was held in line with Malayan Insurance’s disaster preparedness advocacy and part of its corporate social responsibility projects. Facilitated by Senior Inspector Ferdinand Vargas of the Bureau of Fire-Manila Fire Disctrict, the seminar was attended by individuals from the community of Barangay Bel-Air. Malayan Insurance Business Development Associate Ms. Rosselgean Consignado, also oriented the community regarding the importance of having fire insurance coverage.
Manila International Auto Show
Finally, Malayan Insurance was proud to be part, yet again, of the Manila International Auto Show held at the World Trade Center last March 30 to April 2. The biggest and most visited auto show in the country displayed the much awaited Honda Civic Type-R and Mazda’s MX-5 RF. The event was attended by car enthusiasts, new car owners and prospective car buyers. Malayan Insurance featured Auto Master – its comprehensive car insurance product that offers instant car insurance quotation online at www.malayanonline.com.
